Mitutoyo at CONTROL show- day 2: Media, MiCAT show, QV Active
Despite the journalists extremely tight schedule, the media most important for Mitutoyo participated in the press conference on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Jürgen Bergmann explained the outstanding features of the new Quick Vision Active vision measuring system, Martin Barleben and Oliver Senftleben outlined the vast performance of the SV-3200 surface roughness tester, Albert Mertens presented the new combination of the MACH Ko-ga-me CMM, an index table and a cabin against rough production surroundings. Edgar Meuser and Stefan Heinen showed applications for the new ABSOLUTE Digimatic Coolant Proof Caliper IP67, the Signal ID-C indicator and the new i-Checker calibration device.
The front corner of the Mitutoyo booth turned into a hot spot on the full hours. The small stage became crowded when the Mitutoyo CMM experts outlined the vast advantages of the MiCAT Planner software. The use of the groundbreaking program saves up to 90 per cent time compared to conventional ways of CMM part program generation.
The star on the Mitutoyo booth was a novelty that had just arrived from Japan, designed to meet the demand of European industry and laboratory customers: the Quick Vision Active vision measuring system. With the new model, designed for measuring small to midsize workpieces, Mitutoyo strengthen their mid-range in the product portfolio and aim to confirm their position as a worldwide leader in precision vision measuring equipment. Quick Vision Active comes in two sizes. Both variants are additionally available with a touch probe for tactile measuring methods.
