Mitutoyo at CONTROL show- day 3/4: The final

Control show’s Thursday saw a very interesting and well-attended event organised by Mitutoyo: Reinhold Weichenthal, product manager coordinate measuring machines of Mitutoyo Europe, held a presentation on part program generation by use of the sophisticated and easy to use Mitutoyo MiCAT Planner Software.

One of the most interesting application hit the eye by the distinctive colour of the workpiece. The highly versatile surface roughness tester SV-3200 was programmed to measure the crank pin of a crankshaft painted in Mitutoyo orange colour. The small tools area boasted another very interesting exhibition piece: a sorting belt that is controlled by the new Signal ID-C indicator. This type of indicators can transfer GO/+-NG judgement results to external devices by a setting of the upper and lower limits. The new generation comes in two different versions with digital steps of 0.01 mm and 0.001 mm for higher accuracy applications. Tolerance judgements can be set to three different upper/lower limits, the Signal output features a logical inversion function. Also brand new: the Mitutoyo i-Checker calibration device.

Mitutoyo subsidiary Komeg showed at their desk how versatile and universally applicable their flexible and lightweight fixture systems eco-fix and opti-fix are.

The Control show 2016 brought very competent and professional visitors to the Mitutoyo booth, turning the show into a beautiful success for the Japanese premium manufacturer.
